Orlistat is prescribed by doctors as an aid to losing weight. This process involves determining your body mass index (BMI), which is also known as the Quetelet Index (QI). The product will only be prescribed where the BMI registers above 28 kg/m2.
Orlistat is also known by the brand names Xenical and Alli, and is produced by various manufacturers.
It is available in two dosages: Orlistat 60 mg and Orlistat 120 mg.
Orlistat is a slimming aid. It works within the intestines, where it reduces the absorption of fat from the diet. As a result, more fat is left behind in the intestines, and thus less enters the body. In this way, fewer calories from your diet are absorbed, which therefore makes it easier to lose weight.
Most people can lose up to ten per cent more weight when they use Orlistat. However, it is important to only use Orlistat in combination with a healthy, reduced-calorie diet and regular physical exercise.
The combination of these three elements increases your chance of achieving weight loss.
Because Orlistat reduces the absorption of fat from your diet, it only needs to be swallowed sometime during a meal which contains fat. And if you miss a meal, it is not necessary to use the medication.
Swallow the capsule just before, during, or up to an hour after your meal. Orlistat may be used up to three times per day.
Orlistat should only be prescribed by a doctor.
Buying Orlistat via a website where it is claimed to be cheap is not recommended. Such websites often supply fake medicines, and you will not be able to tell what you are getting. To get a clearer picture of the use of this medication, it is advisable to check Orlistat reviews online beforehand.
